Before founding Florida Benefits Group (FBG) , we worked for a large captive wire house firm. There were many financial “professionals” plying their trade with the public service clients, and we noticed that teachers, police officers, firefighters and more were preyed upon by agents looking to make sales. Afterwards, the advisors were never there to support and provide service to their clients. Our heroes were largely ignored and left in the dark as to their financial futures. 




After witnessing the neglect with our own eyes, we took it upon ourselves to start a firm that would promise to fill that void left by so many others before us. We are dedicated to providing real value to the individuals we enjoy working with so much.

As a dedicated financial advisor, JP Aubry is focused on helping clients work towards their retirement goals and dreams. He’s determined to deliver sound investment and insurance strategies that can help you take control of your financial future. 

Valuing integrity, JP’s practice is centered on putting the needs of his client’s first above all else. He understands that not only is the financial landscape ever-changing, but personal circumstances change as well. Therefore, he believes it is important for individuals to be guided throughout the retirement and investment planning process so they can feel confident about the strategies they have put in place. 

Before co-founding Florida Benefits Group, he spent years working for some of the largest financial services firms in the country. As a result, JP has gained invaluable experience in the following areas: retirement planning, insurance planning, income and asset protection and investment planning. 

His focus is on working with public service professionals and their families. 

JP is a product of the University of Central Florida and has obtained his FINRA Securities Registration Series 7 & 66, in addition to his Life, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance License. 

He resides in Central Florida, and outside of work, he participates weekly in volunteer community service, enjoys spending time with family and friends, plays soccer and is an avid health and fitness enthusiast.

Angel is proud to help individuals prepare and plan for a successful retirement. Her focus is working with local nonprofit and public school employees to build strategies to help them meet their financial goals throughout their employment and retirement years. 

Before co-founding Florida Benefits Group, she spent 6 years at AXA Advisors where, in addition to her personal practice, she was responsible for training and mentoring new financial professionals. 

A Florida native, Angel is a graduate of University of Central Florida from which she obtained her bachelor’s degree in business and criminal justice. Angel has also obtained her FINRA Securities Registration Series 7 & 66, in addition to her Life, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance License. 

Angel’s primary objective is to provide public service professionals with comprehensive insurance, investments and wealth preservation services. With Florida Benefits Group, Angel’s program of integrated planning helps offer balanced, flexible strategies designed for your particular circumstances and objectives—where each financial instrument is part of a well-conceived plan. Every plan is designed to help you achieve optimum performance and exceptional value.

Angel resides in Central Florida, and over the years she has been actively involved in many community organizations including Seminole Community College Volunteers Organization.

Director of Marketing and Business Development

Genna Adkins is an experienced marketing professional and event planner. She joined Florida Benefits Group in 2020 as the Director of Marketing and Business Development. 

Driven by passion, she takes pride in providing the best collaborative work for both the firm and its clients. 

Genna enjoys being part of an initiative to serve Florida’s educators and the public service professionals who work hard to keep our community both safe and flourishing. Throughout her position, she aims to help the firm reach the hardworking professionals who deserve advanced guidance in their financial lives. 

Stepping straight into marketing positions from college, she has implemented a number of measures to expand the market share and brand recognition. Before joining Florida Benefits Group, Genna served as the marketing coordinator for AXA  Advisors’ Central Florida Branch, as well as H&L Partners advertising agency, working with Missouri Division of Tourism and nonprofits. 

She is currently earning her master’s in marketing to increase her knowledge within the field.
